International Women’s Day – #RecoverOutLoud

Today is International Women’s Day. I have been blessed to be surronded by many independent and strong women. Women who will stand up for what they believe in. Women that own business, run non-profits, organize, support and help people. Women who will be bold for change and mean business. They follow their hearts and work hard for what they believe in.

For International Women’s Day 2017, we’re asking you to #BeBoldForChange
Call on the masses or call on yourself to help forge a better working world
– a more inclusive, gender equal world

Me and my mom

Starting with my mother, I was raised by a strong, independent woman who made sure I understood that woman can do anything. I don’t think we should even have to say this, but sadly we do. I was surrounded by strong woman like my mother, aunts, grandmothers, cousins and friends who inspired me and taught me. I look to them for guidance, help and friendship. They have built the man that I am today. I am forever grateful for having the honor of having these wonderful women around me. I am also blessed to have married an independent woman who is my partner in life.

As a father of daughters, I want to make sure my daughters and all girls know they can do anything. There is no ceiling to what they can do.

I have shared two videos in the past few days from two inspiration women in recovery.Below are their videos, please watch and share. We can #RecoverOutLoud, RECOVERY is possible and there is HOPE.

Please watch these videos and share them. These two women are inspirational and recover out loud. They share the hope and shine that is possible with recovery. Also look on Facebook for live video today searching the tag #SheMeansBusiness.
