3 Good Things

I journal a lot. I “micro-journal”, putting short thoughts throughout the day of what I am feeling, what is going on or what I am thinking.  I try to write what I am grateful for and have a daily reminder for that. Yesterday I had the privilege of talking with Jeremiah Lindemann. Jeremiah lost his brother to an accidental overdose and have some time he decided to create an iterative map to celebrate the lives of our lost loved ones. RX and Heroin Maps

We know we are loosing 144 people every day in the United States to overdose. But, we have to stop thinking of this as numbers, each of these people are somebody’s loved one. These are people who had dreams and aspirations. People who have families and friends. They are mothers, fathers, sons and daughters. Time To Act is NOW

I am so very sad and worried that we are only in the beginning of a horrible health crisis that is already claiming 144 lives every day in the United States. We need better ways of helping people get into recovery and prevent people from ever trying these deadly substances.
